About Sarah Peters

I’m Dr Sarah Peters, a veterinarian with over 25 years of experience caring for animals and supporting the people who love them. Since graduating from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2000, I have worked extensively with small animals and horses, helping patients through everything from everyday health concerns to more complex medical and surgical challenges. My approach combines practical veterinary medicine with a strong interest in integrative care, including Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), acupuncture, and herbal medicine. Outside of veterinary practice, animals remain at the heart of my daily life. I have a longstanding passion for horse riding and enjoy the partnership, discipline, and continual learning that comes with working with horses. I am also passionate about training dogs, finding great fulfilment in building communication, trust, and understanding between dogs and their people. These personal interests deepen my appreciation for the human–animal bond and continue to shape the way I approach animal care. I believe good veterinary advice should be clear, supportive, and tailored to each individual animal and owner.
